Reading up on eyelid surgery is a private thing, and this site is built so that it stays that way. Below, in plain questions and answers, is what Babyface (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, why, and what remains in your hands. It covers this website only, not the independent sites we link to, which run their own policies.

What do you collect about me?

As little as we can. Three things and no more: the message you choose to send us, the ordinary technical data needed to serve the pages, and grouped, anonymous statistics about which articles get read. We do not sell your data, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across the web.

What happens to a message I send?

If you email us or use the Contact page, we receive your message and whatever you include, such as your name and email address. We use it only to reply, and we keep it only as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and any sensible follow-up, then remove it.

What about the technical data and cookies?

To serve the pages securely, our hosting and content delivery network handle ordinary details such as your IP address and browser type. Where we measure traffic we use a privacy-conscious analytics provider set to see as little as possible, including anonymised IP addresses and no cross-site tracking. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to anything here.

Is there anything I should not send?

Yes. Please do not send us photographs of your eyes or eyelids, your medical or surgical history, visual-field or eye-test results, or the dates of any planned surgery. We are not your clinician, we cannot assess an image or a history, and ordinary email is not a secure or confidential channel for details this personal. If you send them regardless, we will use them only to reply and will not retain them.

Do you share any of it?

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising profiles. The only parties that process data on our behalf are the infrastructure providers that make the site work, namely a content delivery network and a privacy-conscious analytics provider. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it.

What rights do I have?

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the information we hold, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these, write to us through the Contact page and we will respond as the law requires.

What about children?

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below the age at which they can consent to such processing where they live.

Will this policy change?

We may revise it as the site develops. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If anything here is unclear, please ask through the Contact page.
